7/21/2023 EnchantaVaughn Approved 1.Behavior: Individual counseling held with Ben-Nita at the home. Ben-Nita appeared to be in a pleasant mood evident by her happy facial expressions. She was easily engaged in the session and was receptive to the interventions attempted in todayâs session. The home appeared to be kept and was orderly. Ben-Nita presented with a neat appearance and maintained adequate eye contact during the session. 2. Behavior: Ben-Nita presented negative behaviors during the second portion of the session as Ben-Nita was utilizing profanity with her mother when discussing her behaviors. 1.Intervention: QMHP-C engaged Ben-Nita in a discussion regarding respectful interactions. QMHP-C modeled the appropriate way to interact with others. QMHP-C asked Ben-Nita several questions to allow her the opportunity to demonstrate how she responds to others in various situations. QMHP-C role played with Ben-Nita about making demands and requests. Ben-Nita was instructed to explain the difference and to discuss the possible outcome of a demand versus a request. QMHP-C provided a therapeutic worksheet on managing anger. 2. Intervention: QMHP-C assisted Ben-Nita with adequate ways to manage her anger across all settings such as school, home, and in the community. QMHP-C utilized paper to create scenarios to model and suggest to Ben-Nita constructive ways to handle her anger with siblings and peers in the community setting. QMHP-C taught Ben-Nita about being empathetic to victims (siblings/peers) of her bullying and intimidating behaviors. 1. Response: Ben-Nita demonstrated active listening skills in this session. She provided positive feedback during this session. She was able to answer questions correctly regarding the respectful interactions with others. Ben-Nita had little insight into how her communication approach is towards others. She does not understand the concept of making demands and requests. She did begin to gain insight when some of the possible results that QMHP-C explained were discussed with her. 2. Response: Ben-Nita continues to struggle with managing her anger but did share that she is now able to recognize factors that makes her angry. She gained awareness into more constructive ways to manage her anger with her siblings. She continues to display bossy behaviors with her siblings that result in verbal altercations. QMHP-C denies bullying her peers or siblings.
